MILIEU SPECIALIST - NIGHTS PER DIEM

Position Summary

The Milieu Specialist provides therapeutic milieu management, training of MHTs, and monitoring of the hospital units. Milieu management includes program content and philosophy, patient management training, environmental management, and staff competency. We are adding to our staff with per diem Milieu Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic milieu management
• Train MHTs
• Monitor hospital units
• Manage program content and philosophy
• Provide patient management training
• Oversee environmental management
• Ensure staff competency

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology or similar social sciences from an accredited college or university
• Five years of professional experience in a mental health hospital setting
• Experience as a Lead MHT
• Current certification as a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention instructor (or obtained within 5 months of being in the role)
• Current certification in BLS/CPR
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to relate feedback and mentor existing and newly hired employees

Work Hours

This is a per diem position for 7p-7:30a shifts. Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays.
