Responsibilities
- Apply behavioral theory and concepts in daily operations.
- Assist in interviewing applicants as needed.
- Support the completion of performance evaluations for Mental Health Associates (MHAs).
- Oversee and coordinate assigned units, addressing corrective actions in conjunction with the charge nurse and/or nursing supervisor.
- Participate in creating a least-restrictive environment for patients while maintaining dignity and safety.
- Coordinate daily activities of assigned units.
- Demonstrate effective empathy skills when interacting with patients, families, visitors, peers, and medical staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience in behavioral healthcare, particularly with adolescents (preferred but not required).
- Demonstrable leadership and supervisory skills.
- Current CPR and CPI certifications, or ability to obtain within two weeks of hire (training offered onsite).
- Documented experience working with children (ages 5–12), adolescents (ages 13–18), and/or adults (ages 18+).
