Mild Mod Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher
About the role
A Special Education Teacher position supporting 11th and 12th grade students through a co-teaching model in high school math classes.
Responsibilities
- Support 11th and 12th grade students through a co-teaching model in high school math classes.
- Maintain small SPED caseloads and provide a supportive educational environment.
- Teach high school level math courses while adhering to state standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and implement co-taught lessons.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and other professionals.
Requirements
- Valid state teaching certification (Special Education preferred).
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching or classroom experience preferred; high school experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices.
- Experience with co-teaching models and differentiated instruction.

- Proficiency in using technology for lesson planning and assessment.

Hourly Rate: $54.00
Schedule
Weekdays, 37.5 hours per week
