Mild Mod Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher

About the role

A Special Education Teacher position supporting 11th and 12th grade students through a co-teaching model in high school math classes.

Responsibilities

• Support 11th and 12th grade students through a co-teaching model in high school math classes.
• Maintain small SPED caseloads and provide a supportive educational environment.
• Teach high school level math courses while adhering to state standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and implement co-taught lessons.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and other professionals.

Requirements

• Valid state teaching certification (Special Education preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of teaching or classroom experience preferred; high school experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Knowledge of special education principles and practices.
• Experience with co-teaching models and differentiated instruction.

• Proficiency in using technology for lesson planning and assessment.

Pay

Hourly Rate: $54.00

Schedule

Weekdays, 37.5 hours per week
