MIG / TIG Welder

About the role

Joins metal parts to form a permanent bond.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal components and parts using specialized equipment such as gas welders, gas torches, and hand tools
• Use electrical currents to create heat and bond metals
• Plan work by interpreting blueprints, technical procedures, and templates
• Observe tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications
• Move fixtures and equipment as required to accomplish various jobs
• Complete all documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Perform work under minimal supervision
• Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
• May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring
• 4 to 6 years of experience

Pay
