We sell our products through thousands of resellers in health-care, government, and social service sectors.

About the Role

The Midwest Territory Manager will lead sales efforts in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, targeting ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, and blind rehabilitation professionals. The role involves soliciting sales of Eschenbach’s low vision care products and assisting existing customers in reselling these products to their visually impaired patients and clients. Key responsibilities include maximizing market penetration, growing customer relationships, and generating new leads through both in-person and telemarketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize market penetration of Eschenbach products by soliciting sales to the eye care market.
  • Target customers including state/local agencies, VA hospitals, and other channel partners.
  • Average 3 nights per week 'out of town' is expected.
  • Make at least 10 in-person sales calls per week on eye care and blind rehab professionals.
  • Follow up on all qualified leads within 30 days.
  • Maintain contact database in CRM system and track all selling activities.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of low vision aids and magnifiers to be an effective salesperson.
  • Sponsor and attend local and regional trade shows and events to solicit sales and generate leads.
  • Maintain samples in good condition for demonstration purposes.
  • Ensure professional appearance and presentation at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent, preferred.
  • Commitment to learning and demonstrating the Eschenbach sales technique.
  • Candidate must provide a vehicle for business use sufficient for transportation of required samples.
  • Adhere to a professional dress code.
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Public speaking experience a plus.

  • Pay range: $120,000 - $125,000 per year (includes base, commission, and potential bonuses).

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
  • Must be willing to travel. Expect 8-12 overnight stays per month; may need to work some weekends.
  • Work location: On the road.
