Midstream Planning Engineer

About the role

This position leverages understanding of engineering concepts to guide long-term and short-term planning and infrastructure build-out optimization. The role supports planning teams to prescribe capital solutions aligned with business goals and strategic plans, applying fluid dynamic and thermodynamic principles to support planning processes with system capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and utilize hydraulic models, capital and operating costs, and other factors to develop engineering solutions in gas and water transportation.
• Collect and report capital budget, OPEX, and fee performance metrics in support of economic analysis.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, operations personnel, planning team members, and other key stakeholders to track midstream project cost metrics and schedules, identify conflicts, and support economic return analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited institution in Engineering.
• At least three (3) years of related experience.

Work Environment

The role is performed in both office and field environments, with approximately 90% in the office and 10% in the field. The position may involve exposure to:

• Extreme cold and heat (temperatures below 32°F or above 100°F for periods exceeding one hour).
• Noise levels requiring shouting to be heard above ambient noise.
• Vibration exposure to extremities or whole body.
• Confined spaces with limited entry/exit and not designed for continuous occupancy.
• Hazards including proximity to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, working at heights, exposure to chemicals, combustibles, or explosives.

Physical Demands

• Minimally required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Minimally lift, push, carry, and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Travel

• Minimal travel may be required to other locations, including Company field operations and/or offices.
• Approximately 10% overnight travel.
