Middle School Tutor (Pre-Algebra)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced middle school tutor who specializes in PRE-ALGEBRA. The ideal candidate is energetic, enthusiastic, and driven, passionate about teaching and helping students succeed.

Responsibilities

• Empower students with academic support based on the Louisiana curriculum.
• Develop customized learning plans that help students truly understand the material, not just memorize it.
• Offer remedial and enrichment opportunities to help students who need extra support—or a challenge to stretch them further.
• Collaborate with parents to keep them in the loop on progress, struggles, and successes.

Requirements

• You hold a current, valid registration with the New Orleans Department of Education.
• You’re a qualified teacher in the United States (or in the process of becoming one).
• You’re a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
• You have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university.
