About the role

Sacred Heart Catholic School is accepting applications for a full time Middle school teacher (grades 6, 7 & 8 Science and Social Studies) for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Teach Science and Social Studies to students in grades 6, 7 & 8
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Assess student learning and provide feedback
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons and share resources
• Participate in professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate
• Experience teaching middle school students preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Pass a criminal history check
• Pass a drug screening
