Immaculate Heart of Mary School is accepting applications for a full time Middle School Religion Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the role

• Teach religion classes to middle school students
• Implement curriculum aligned with Archdiocese of Philadelphia standards
• Support student development in moral reasoning and religious understanding

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s standards
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall educational goals of the school
• Participate in professional development opportunities related to teaching and learning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• At least two years of teaching experience in a middle school setting
• Strong knowledge of Catholic doctrine and pedagogical methods
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain positive relationships with students and parents

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Pass the “Protecting God’s Children” training through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia

Skills

• Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe learning environment
