About the role
Visitation BVM Catholic School is hiring for a full-time middle school science teacher.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, write, and implement the Archdiocese of Philadelphia curriculum in the above subjects
- Deliver hands-on and engaging science instruction including use of science lab and STREAM room
- Provide instruction in the above classes
- Adapt instructional style and methods as needed to appeal to different learning styles
- Establish and maintain an educational environment consistent with instructional goals
- Manage student behavior to encourage the best possible student educational experience
- Evaluate students’ academic growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare various progress reports and report cards
Requirements
- College degree
- Teacher certification
- Updated clearances
- Pennsylvania State Police Background Check
- Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI fingerprinting
Candidate must have all required clearances and must attend the Protecting God's Children class provided by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Archdiocese of Philadelphia application also required for employment.
