Responsibilities

• Design and implement meaningful, inquiry-driven science learning experiences for secondary students.
• Engage students through hands-on learning, real-world phenomena, and current scientific issues.
• Develop transferable skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and data analysis.
• Create inclusive, engaging learning environments where all students feel valued and supported.
• Foster deep understanding through scaffolded tasks, collaborative inquiry, and scientific discourse.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing professional learning and feedback.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. degree.
• Holds or is eligible for a Minnesota State Licensure in Science.
• Commitment to equitable education for all students.
• Creative planning and organizational skills.
• Highly effective interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Excellence in collaboration with colleagues and enthusiasm for working with students.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning (e.g., graduate-level work, professional organization conferences, or seminars).
• Experience working with diverse learners preferred.

Schedule

This long-term substitute position is expected to run from August 31, 2026, to November 24, 2026.
