About the role
Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a Middle School Science Teacher certified in Middle School Science Education.
- Degrees/Certifications in Special Education, Gifted Instruction, Curriculum and Instruction, ESL, and/or Reading Specialist certification is a desirable credential.
- 2+ years experience with middle school students in a school setting preferred.
- Knowledge of EOC/LEAP 2025 testing, ACT/SAT prep, and Louisiana State Standards preferred.
- Knowledge of STEM instruction, Design Thinking and Innovation, and Project-Based Learning is desired.
Requirements
A strong candidate will have an interest and ability to support one or more extra curricular club or sport outside of the regular school day.
Skills
- Trainings and workshops in the summer may be required.
