Middle School Quiz Bowl Coach

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to those holding a teaching certificate
• Demonstrated history of positive working relationships with students and their families
• Knowledgeable, organized, enthusiastic, and willing to invest the necessary time to bring about quality
• Necessary mental and physical ability and stamina to successfully perform assigned responsibilities
• Must successfully complete a Live Scan Criminal Records check

Responsibilities

• Coach the specific team
• Promote the program and recruit team members
• Train and monitor student academic progress and eligibility
• Supervise students, attend tournaments, and keep records (registration, attendance, schedules, etc.)
• Lead by example and exhibit professionalism at all times
• Be responsible for equipment and supplies for the specific program
• Maintain effective communication with parents and students
