About the Role
At Academic Independence, our tutors provide educational support and guidance to students, assisting with academic improvement and development. This role involves working one-on-one and in small groups to reinforce subject knowledge, develop effective study habits, and implement brain-friendly learning strategies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for sessions with appropriate materials and resources.
- Conduct one-on-one and/or group tutoring sessions.
- Implement study strategies and Brain Friendly Learning techniques.
- Create engaging learning materials if needed.
- Send notes after each session with constructive feedback and progress updates.
- Attend meetings and trainings.
- Follow company Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with parents and the organization to increase student performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 1 year of tutoring/teaching experience
- Experience working with learning differences is preferred
