Middle School Math Teacher

The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a full-time teacher for Sylvan Middle School.

About the role

This position is open until filled and accepting applications. Applications are reviewed weekly, and submissions should be made by Sunday at midnight to be considered for the week.

Responsibilities

• Teach core academic subjects to students in grades 6-8
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum standards
• Maintain classroom management and student behavior
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance educational programs
• Participate in professional development activities

Requirements

• Valid California teaching credential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passing background check

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred
• Experience working with middle school students
• Knowledge of current educational methodologies and technologies

Skills

• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Benefits

• Salary range: $60,000 - $126,000 annually
• Additional pay opportunities available for hard-to-staff positions

Pay

$60,000 - $126,000 annually, with additional stipends for certain positions.

Schedule

• Length of work year: 10 months/year, 186 days/year, 5 days/week
