Middle School Latin Teacher (part-time)

Duties And Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment that feels safe for all students to learn and reach their fullest potential.
• Create thoughtful and well-planned lessons while adhering to the curriculum.
• Maintain orderly classrooms.
• Provide timely and meaningful evaluation/correction of student work.
• Engage students utilizing the Socratic method.
• Lead students through intelligence, charisma, humor, moral integrity, and example.
• Fully embrace the school's vision of community, learning, and leadership.
• Perform additional assigned campus duties.

Qualifications, Competencies, And Strengths

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
• Certifications: Not required to teach at any of the Great Hearts Academies, but a commitment to and love for the liberal arts, knowledge of the content area, and the capacity to instill knowledge and cultivate virtue in children is expected.
• Additional Requirements: Type of fingerprint clearance: Must possess or obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance card.
• Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
