About the Role
This is an anticipated position for the Middle School Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach. The season runs approximately from January 2027 through February 2027.
Requirements
- Must have or be able to obtain a Wyoming Coaching Permit with an endorsement in Head Wrestling. Apply through the Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB).
- Coaching permit or endorsement must be obtained prior to the season beginning to receive compensation. If obtained during the season, compensation will be prorated.
- Submit PTSB coaching application before the season starts. Applications can be found here.
- Complete U.S. and Wyoming Constitution testing or submit qualifying college coursework (must cover U.S. History prior to 1865 and the U.S. Constitution). Graduates from a Wyoming Community College or the University of Wyoming may have already met this requirement if they earned a "C" or higher.
- TCSD can proctor exams by appointment. Email wyoptsb@wyo.gov to schedule, specifying which exam(s) you need.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification is required before the season begins. Must be hands-on training (no online courses accepted). Accepted providers include:
- American Red Cross
- American Heart Association (Heartsaver® program)
- National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Sport First Aid Course
- American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Sport First Aid Course
- College or University coursework in First Aid/CPR
Certification must be current and issued within the last three years. Contact Mike Hansen for district-offered courses.
- Complete free online concussion and bullying certification courses through NFHS:
- Concussion Course
- Bullying, Hazing, and Inappropriate Behaviors Course
Email completion certificates to hschon@tcsd.org.
- Fingerprinting required for both the state and district (4 fingerprint cards total: 2 for PTSB and 2 for TCSD). Can be done at any sheriff’s office; fees vary and are the applicant’s responsibility. Schedule an appointment in Teton County here.
- Complete district paperwork to be entered into the payroll system.
