About the role

  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with state standards and best practices in computer science education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects that integrate computer science concepts with other subjects.
  • Assess student learning through various methods including formative and summative assessments.
  • Engage students in project-based learning activities to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in technology and pedagogy.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging computer science lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Provide individualized support to students who need additional assistance.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Conduct classroom management to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Attend meetings and workshops to collaborate on school-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, education, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching computer science or a related subject area.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for technology and its integration into education.

Qualifications

  • Preferred eligibility for professional certification in computer science education.
  • Minimum requirement of a conferred bachelor's degree.
