About the role

Teach computer science courses to high school students. Develop lesson plans and materials, provide individualized instruction, and assess student progress. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with state standards and best practices in computer science education.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess student learning through various methods such as quizzes, projects, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • A conferred bachelor's degree in computer science, education, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching computer science or equivalent coursework.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of current trends and technologies in computer science education.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility for professional certification in computer science is preferred.
  • A conferred bachelor's degree is required.
