About the Role
Madison County Middle School seeks qualified, dynamic, and passionate full-time teachers for anticipated vacancies for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers will develop and implement collaborative grade/subject area lessons that are hands-on, interactive, and aligned with the Georgia Standards. Additionally, teachers will differentiate curriculum for students based on readiness levels and learning styles.
Qualifications
- Hold a clear renewable certificate in the specified teaching area.
- Demonstrated ability to relate and motivate all students with respect to learning styles to make learning meaningful, effective, and contextual through positive interactions.
- Ability to successfully integrate technology into the classroom while engaging students.
- Gifted certification or willingness to obtain gifted certification preferred.
- Willingness to sponsor or coach extra-curricular activities.
Responsibilities
- Be present, organized, and enthusiastically committed to the success of all assigned students for the school calendar.
- Collaborate with fellow grade/subject area members to develop instructional unit plans and outlines that achieve desired educational results.
- Instruct designed classes in accordance with collaborative plans, modifying as necessary to achieve learning objectives within school system policies.
- Implement a proactive, consistent, and effective classroom management system.
- Guard instructional time by maintaining demonstrated attendance.
- Counsel students and parents on learning and discipline problems as necessary.
- Supervise or assist in the supervision of school activities as assigned.
- Complete all records and reports accurately and on time.
- Analyze data to determine individual students' strengths and areas needing improvement, using this data to influence instructional decisions.
- Monitor student progress through formal and informal assessments.
- Participate in Professional Development workshops and opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Pay
Ten months per year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
