Middle & High School Substitute Teacher (Metro Atlanta)

About the role

Legacy Solutions, Inc. is seeking dependable, professional, and student-focused Middle School and High School Substitute Teachers to join our team serving schools throughout the Metro Atlanta area. We are looking for educators who are passionate about supporting student learning while maintaining a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment. This position is ideal for individuals with strong classroom management skills who are flexible and available to work Mondays and Fridays, as these are our highest-demand days. Long-term substitute opportunities may also be available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.
• Maintain a positive, orderly, and productive classroom environment.
• Effectively manage student behavior using appropriate classroom management strategies.
• Supervise students in accordance with school policies and procedures.
• Encourage student participation and engagement throughout the instructional day.
• Communicate professionally with school administrators and staff.
• Complete attendance, classroom documentation, and other assigned duties.
• Follow all district, school, and Legacy Solutions policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience working with middle or high school students is preferred.
• Demonstrated classroom management experience is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout the Metro Atlanta area.

Schedule

• Applicants must be available to work on Mondays and Fridays, as these are our highest-need days.
• Candidates with open availability throughout the week are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Qualified candidates may be considered for long-term substitute assignments, which may last several weeks or an entire semester. Long-term assignments may include additional instructional responsibilities and offer consistent work opportunities.
