Mid to High Level Residential Insurance Loss Control Field Inspector

About the role

This is a CONTRACT position (1099). Signature Companies is seeking experienced Residential Insurance Inspectors to perform interior and high-value dwelling inspections.

Responsibilities

• Visit property owners in your area to perform inspections.
• Take photos and measurements during visits.
• Make notes of issues to bring to the underwriter’s attention.
• Complete and submit reports online after each visit.
• Ensure reports are submitted within 21 days.
• Work independently and manage your own schedule.

Requirements

• At least two years of comparable experience, such as a home inspector.
• Reliable transportation.
• A digital camera.
• High-speed internet access.
• An excellent knowledge of Microsoft products.
• A measuring wheel or similar device.
• Good organization skills.

Qualifications

• Prior underwriting experience preferred.
• Prior inspection experience on residential homes.
• Loss control experience preferred.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Computer competencies in Windows and internet environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
• CPCU or IIA certification preferred.

Skills

• Microsoft products proficiency.
• Ability to quickly turn around high-quality work.
• Knowledge of construction and architectural features.
• Understanding of replacement costs and underwriting concerns.
• Ability to identify and recommend prevention strategies for future losses.

Benefits

Contractor fees are paid monthly. Background investigation including a criminal record check and possible drug screen may be required.
