About the role
This is a CONTRACT position (1099). Signature Companies is seeking experienced Residential Insurance Inspectors to perform interior and high-value dwelling inspections.
Responsibilities
- Visit property owners in your area to perform inspections
- Take photos and measurements during visits
- Make notes of issues to bring to the underwriter's attention
- Complete and submit reports online after each visit
- Ensure reports are submitted within 21 days
- Work independently and manage your own schedule
- Drive to and conduct surveys
- Write up reports from home using a Windows based PC
- Determine accurate replacement costs for homes
- Document unique construction and architectural features
- Identify underwriting concerns
- Make recommendations to prevent future losses
Requirements
- Prior underwriting experience preferred
- Prior inspection experience on residential homes
- Loss control experience preferred
- Construction experience preferred
- Computer competencies in Windows and internet environment required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
- CPCU or IIA certification preferred
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a smartphone, tablet, and personal computer
- Must have a late model car
Benefits
Contractor fees are paid monthly. No travel expenses are covered. Background investigation required.
