Brightway Insurance is seeking motivated early-career professionals to join our Business Development Associate Program. This structured development program prepares high-potential talent for long-term success in the insurance and financial services industry. Unlike traditional sales roles, this position involves working with warm leads and an established client base.

About the role

The Business Development Associate Program is designed to develop future leaders passionate about helping people protect what matters most while building rewarding careers. Ideal candidates are driven self-starters with a strong customer service mindset, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with warm leads from Brightway’s existing book of business to identify new opportunities.

  • Develop new client opportunities through prospecting and relationship building.

  • Conduct proactive outreach via phone and email to introduce Brightway’s solutions.

  • Support sales initiatives by helping clients find the right coverage for their needs.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agency partners, and insurance carriers.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and act as a trusted resource for clients.

  • Accurately document sales activities and follow-ups in internal systems.

  • Organize and prioritize daily tasks using calendars, planning tools, and CRM platforms.

  • Collaborate with team members to support seamless operations and shared goals.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance sales performance.

Requirements

  • We are looking for individuals who are curious, motivated, and eager to build a long-term career in business and client relationship management.

  • Ideal candidates demonstrate a strong customer service mindset and desire to help others, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high attention to detail and strong organizational abilities, the ability to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment, comfort building relationships and initiating conversations, and a willingness to learn new skills and embrace professional growth.

  • The position requires the ability to obtain a Personal Lines Insurance License within 60 days of employment. Brightway provides training and support to help you succeed.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, or equivalent experience is required.

  • 0–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or client-facing roles.

  • An interest in insurance, entrepreneurship, or business development is a plus but not required.

Benefits

  • This role offers first-year earning potential of $50,000–$95,000, driven by a performance-based compensation structure featuring a base salary, uncapped new business commissions, and ongoing renewal commissions.
