Responsibilities
- Supports the Special Security Officer (SSO) by managing access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCIFs.
- Conducts security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and ensures compliance with SCI access protocols.
- Inspects and maintains SCIFs, oversees access control systems (ACD and AMAG), manages intrusion detection and CCTV monitoring, and processes SCIF accreditations and policy exceptions.
- Maintains physical security programs such as open storage inspections and residential storage assessments, while adhering to DoD security standards.
- Pursues SFPC certification within two years.
Requirements
- Assists the Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure control of access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI facilities (SCIFs).
- Certifies and receives SCI visitor clearances / accesses; conducts SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, training on classified material / SSO-related material and topics.
- Obtains signed nondisclosure agreements; provides guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government and contractor personnel.
- Audits of classified material; inspections of classified material storage facilities / SCIFs / containers; prepares classified material-related policy and management recommendations, reports and recommendations.
- Manage and maintain access control to the Combatant Command (CCMD) compound and facilities, granting all personnel/visitors appropriate physical access to command facilities and access-controlled areas.
- Physically inspect and document findings for the CCMD SCIF accreditation; perform and maintain all annual SCIF inspection checklists.
- Maintain the Open Storage Inspection Program and perform annual inspections.
- Inspect, assess, and draft responses to requests for residential use and storage of sensitive/classified information and equipment.
- Maintain the online Access Control Database (ACD) and badge records in the American Magnetic Technology (AMAG) system.
- Monitor the AMAG Intrusion Detection System/Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).
- Create and process FVEY Mitigation packages and SCIF accreditation requests for approval.
- Process exceptions to SCIF policy requests for CCMD.
- Required to obtain the DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within 2 years and recertify as required.
- Maintain and process exceptions to SCIF policy requests for CCMD.

Qualifications
- Desired Experience: At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Desired Education: Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Skills
- Knowledge of DoD security standards.
- Ability to manage and maintain access control systems.
- Experience with SCIF inspections and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using AMAG systems and CCTV monitoring.
- Ability to pursue and maintain SFPC certification.
