Mid Shift Quality Control Lab Tech

Responsibilities

• Follow all procedures to maintain a safe execution of duties
• Have knowledge on the lab testing equipment - LECO Protein Analyzer, pH meter, water activity and NIR
• Have knowledge of the Safety Data Sheets for chemicals used in lab testing and wear proper safety protection equipment
• Work with peer, supervisors and subordinate groups
• Perform quality checks on finished product off the production lines
• Capture samples for analytical testing and product cuttings
• Collect and retain samples of all products produced
• Make recommendations for lab improvements
• Able to work in other areas of facility if required

Qualifications

• General mathematical ability and basic computer skills
• Self-motivation and Good judgment and reasoning abilities
• Work shifts as required and Safe work record
• Good attitude and Use of specialized lab equipment
• Able to climb to working heights in excess of 20 feet and work in dusty environment
• Lift in excess of 50lbs and continuous walking/standing
• Work in hot/cold and loud environment and occasional bending, stooping, crouching, carrying and lifting
