About the role

Join a growing financial technology company that's leading the marketplace in both the marketing and servicing of credit cards. Specializing in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit, Continental Finance Company is seeking a creative .Net Software Developer with experience in electronic media to support their Technology team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using .NET Core and C#.
  • Build modern, responsive front-end applications using React and JavaScript.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions in AWS, including Lambda, S3, Dynamo.
  • Develop database queries utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to system design decisions.
  • Implement secure coding practices aligned with financial services industry standards.
  • Collaborate with product, business, and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical leadership when needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET Core.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of application security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in relevant areas (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with TypeScript, Angular, or other modern front-end frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or Docker.

Benefits

Continental Finance Company offers a competitive compensation package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. We also provide a hybrid work schedule which includes three (3) core days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two (2) remote workdays (Monday and Friday).
