Mid Security Specialist (SSO)

About the role

Your security expertise will be vital to the operations and security of the command. You will witness the impact of your work through the completion of contractual deliverables to the customer.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide multi-discipline Security Specialists to support the USCENTCOM Special Security Office (CCJ2-SSO).
• Brief and train proper command security practices for the Command Security Indoctrination briefings.
• Update local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance.
• Coordinate, track, document, brief, train and issue courier authorization in support of the Courier Authorization Program.
• Inspect and draft written feedback in support of the Command Inspection Program.
• Coordinate with customers and Defense Courier Service staff for the delivery and pickup of classified material and provide SME guidance for forward deployed units.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of related security experience or Associate’s degree with experience working at a COCOM, or deployed SSO with two of the following:
• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (DoD)
• Experience with wireless security and a strong Physical Security background
• Experience using AMAG and DS CCTVB
• Expertise using JPAS, Scattered Castles, CATS, DISS or equivalent Personnel Security System, SETA program

Compensation Details

$80,000 - $85,000
