Mid or Senior Software Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform software development activities as a member of an agile development team focused on preparation and execution of verification tests of our software releases.
• Turn agile stories into implementable concepts, develop, test, and deploy new capabilities in a large, complex system.
• Leverage BDD patterns and DEVOPS automation to implement robust testing, and use test automation commercial tools where appropriate.
• Develop customer domain-specific language code and contribute to a range of projects involving Java, embedded C++, scripting languages, object-oriented modeling tools, low-level programming, serialization/deserialization, and dependency injection.

Candidates Should Have

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least 8 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience with Java
• In-depth experience or familiarity with multiple technologies including Java/JEE, Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, WSDL, WADL, PERL, PowerShell, VBS, Eclipse, Postgres, Oracle, Jenkins
• Experience with Web Application User Interface Development, databases, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT
• Experience with cryptographic systems, Windows, and Linux operating systems
• Documented professional experience with web services
• Strong understanding of software development principles and practices
• Independent thinking and effective communication skills
• Experience with high-level requirements management, secure systems engineering, trade-off analysis, interface control, and testing and continuous integration
• Experience in Agile teams using practices like Pair Programming, TDD, Refactoring, and ATDD
• Experience with Object Software Modeling tools
• Experience with real-time embedded software
• Experience with JEE (EJB, JPA, JTA, JAX-B, JAX-RS, JAX-WS), SQL, application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss), scripting
• Experience with FITNesse, Mockito, Cucumber, Unified Functional Tester (UFT), Selenium
• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
• Secure Software development (Layer 7 Policy)
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, SAFe Agilest Certification, or experience as a member of an agile team

About the Role

• Belay Technologies is seeking a Security Verification Test (SVT) Software Engineer to join their intel team.
• The selected individual will perform software development activities as part of an agile development team focused on verification tests of software releases.
• Development includes turning agile stories into implementable concepts, development, testing, and deployment of new capabilities in a large, complex system.
• The individual will also engineer, author, tune, and document automation scripts in a development environment and deploy to the test/production bench.

• Mid-Level: $70,000 to $190,000
• Senior Level: $190,000 to $240,000
