Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic system checks, configuration and optimization of cloud infrastructure systems
- Upgrade software, apply patches and provision servers (as needed)
- Review system logs / dashboards (daily)
- Work at all levels of troubleshooting Tier 1, 2 and function independently
- Manage message queries (daily)
- Create and scale EC2 instances (as needed)
- Manage data integration/migration (as needed)
- System performance tuning (as needed)
- System testing (as needed)
- Deploy new system releases (as needed)
- Create, patch, and image virtual server instances (monthly)
- Participate in agile scrum events: sprint planning, stand-ups, grooming, retrospectives, stakeholder demos
Requirements
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
- Terraform/Cloudformation
- Ruby, JavaScript, and/or Python
- Database experience (SQL, noSQL)
- Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree with 6+ years of experience; or 8+ years of experience in systems administration
- AWS network and infrastructure management
- 4+ years of LINUX administration (Centos7)
- Writing and debugging Bash scripts
