Mid-level System Engineer
About the role
Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level System Engineer (SE2) to join their intel team. The Systems Engineer will work with a team of developers, QA, DevOps, and system engineers to provide SDLC support for the GATEKEEPER product. The System Engineer will assist with building and managing GATEKEEPER product installations for DoD customers.
Responsibilities
- Support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), collaborating with development and QA teams to assist with- System testing, validation, and performance tuning in support of production readiness
- Ensure system compliance with security best practices and organizational standards
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, testers, and product owners to align system behavior with business and technical requirements
- Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies and platforms- AWS Foundational Level Certification, RDS and relational database experience in the cloud, Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
- Ten (10) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of 15 years of experience
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts
- Knowledge of ICAM Capabilities and Integration
- Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies and platforms- AWS Foundational Level Certification, RDS and relational database experience in the cloud, Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- RDBMS experience (tuning, migration, optimization)
- Docker expertise, familiarity with Kubernetes a bonus
- Terraform, CloudFormation (CDK)

Pay
Salary Range: $105,000 to $200,000
