Mid-Level Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will support an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. This includes evaluating customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrating technical parameters, and ensuring compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Additionally, you will assist with various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture, and analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Debug existing software and correct defects
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
- Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories

Experience and Qualifications
- Required Education and Years of Experience: A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited course of study and 7+ years of professional experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance, Experience with Java software development, Experience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentation, Experience working in an Agile software development environment, Experience using with Jira and Confluence, Experience with one or more of the following software development skills: React, C#, Visual Basic, HTML, XML, Descriptive Qualifications: Experience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software components, Ensuring quality control of all developed and modified software, AWS Experience, Elasticsearch, Springboot, Kafka, Monolithic Springboot to Microservices, Hibernate/JPA, Telework/Remote Availability: Hybrid work authorized (minimum 2-3 days onsite)
Pay Range
