Mid-Level Shipboard Technician (Non POR)

About the role

This position will be located on site at Navy bases, Naval Shipyards, and onboard Navy ships. There are no remote or hybrid work opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with new installations and/or life cycle upgrades for shipboard IT networks and equipment
• Provide shipboard training to crew members as necessary for LAN and IT Equipment operation
• Interface and coordinate daily regarding planned activities with customer representatives, shipboard personnel, other contractors providing specialized LAN or network communications support
• Prepare and provide daily work reports
• Respond to queries for ad hoc data and network configuration and inventory reports
• Respond to and update trouble calls utilizing NESD
• Perform break-fix troubleshooting and analysis of problems
• Perform repair activities in order to return equipment, Microsoft Windows systems or networks to normal operational status

Education And Certification Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• SEC+ or equivalent

Other Requirements

• Employees will be required to provide their own PPE (Hard Hats, reflective Safety vest) while working in a shipyard environment
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to travel is required

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is $68,000 to $72,000 annually. The final starting salary will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and work location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.
