This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units. Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including fuselages, pylons, nacelles, and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Synchronize the supply chain for obtaining all metallic and non-metallic raw materials for the company.
  • Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality materials are delivered to the right place at the right time.
  • Act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Develop requests for quotations and proposals, analyze supplier responses, negotiate and award contracts, and manage post-award supplier activity.
  • Place inventory levels, purchase orders, and monitor supplier performance.
  • Monitor customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning.
  • Incorporate planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the metallic or non-metallic raw materials, aerospace, or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with any leadership level.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Project management experience and skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and process-oriented.
  • Ability to build and positively cultivate relationships and use influence to obtain desired outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings (preferred).
  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills (preferred).
  • Financial analysis skills (preferred).
  • Knowledge or experience in manufacturing, manufacturing materials, and processes (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. An MBA is a plus (preferred).

Pay

Mid-Level (Level 3) pay range: $73,050 - $112,000, based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet these requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
