Responsibilities
- Provides numerical control, machining, and programming technical support.
- Analyzes blueprints and engineering models to support NC programming.
- Develops optimized programs to improve efficiency and run time, utilizing new cutter technology and techniques.
- Plans, creates, verifies, and revises machine control data and documentation that directs the operations for numerically controlled machines.
- Collaborates in a team environment.
- Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
- Collaborates with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts.
- Optimizes processes and addresses producibility issues as well as production & post-production problems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures.
- 5+ years of professional experience in numerical control (NC) programming, concentrating on multi-axis machines, metallic or composite materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple material types.
- Parts Design/Wireframe experience.
- Frequent interaction with internal personnel in the manufacturing environment and occasionally with inter-organizational personnel and external customers.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel.
- Strong knowledge of SAP.
- Experience with CATIA / ENOVIA.
- Vericut proficiency.
- Ability to take a project from start to finish.
- Willingness to work cross-functionally.
- Experience with Post Processor Development.
- Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering or other related course of study (plus).
