About the role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our engineering and manufacturing team. This position will develop CNC programs, improve machining processes, support new equipment integration, and troubleshoot machining and automation systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC programs for vertical, horizontal, and 5-axis mills, as well as CNC lathes.
  • Improve machining strategies and processes for existing and new parts.
  • Set up CNC machines and troubleshoot machining and manufacturing equipment.
  • Support the integration of new machinery, automation, and production equipment.
  • Design and develop fixtures for CNC machining and CMM inspection.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing methods, equipment, and operating procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on machining, automation, quality, and productivity.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting involving controls, robotics, conveyors, and PLC systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of manual machining experience.
  • Experience with CNC programming software, preferably Mastercam.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with CNC mills and lathes; 5-axis experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of industrial robotics, controls, conveyor systems, and PLC programming is a plus.
  • EDM experience is highly valued.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
