About the role

The Retail Web Technology (RWT) organization leads the development and maintenance of Schwab's Digital self-service platform for retail clients. The team is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack .NET Developer who embraces being a technical leader and has a passion for using state-of-the-art web technologies to build compelling interactive web applications.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly web applications
  • Develop and maintain robust, secure, and performant web applications using advanced development technologies
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and enhancements
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Continuously improve technical and professional skills through learning and staying updated with the latest web technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Proven technical and business communication skills at various organizational levels
  • Experience with C#/.NET Core development
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Familiarity with Angular, TypeScript, and client-side MV* frameworks
  • Experience with responsive design and single-page applications (SPA)
  • Experience with unit testing patterns (TDD/BDD)
  • Experience with application performance evaluation and tuning
  • Experience with web accessibility
  • Experience with creating and consuming RESTful services
  • Experience with authorization frameworks (e.g., OAuth 2, SAML, JWT)
  • Experience with Agile software development principles, including experience participating in a Scrum-based delivery team
  • Experience with scripting languages/AI tools to automate tasks

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of full-stack web development experience, with an emphasis on front-end development
  • Confidence solving problems in a dynamic customer-focused team environment
  • Commitment to regularly improving technical and professional skills

Skills

  • Technical proficiency in C#/.NET Core
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
