Mid-Level Full Stack Developer
Role Description
UST is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development, with a passion for building scalable, high-performing web applications.
Opportunity
- Develop and maintain robust web applications across the full stack.
- Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Angular.js.
- Build and maintain scalable and efficient server-side applications using Python or Java.
- Utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deploy, manage, and scale applications, leveraging core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to ensure our tech stack remains modern and effective.
What You Need
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in full stack software development.
- Proven experience developing applications with Angular.js, including knowledge of relevant libraries and frameworks such as: Angular UI Bootstrap, Tailwind, PrimeNG.
- Experience with sing frameworks such as Jasmine and/or Karma.
- Strong proficiency in either Java or Python for backend development. For Python, experience with popular frameworks is required, such as: Hands on experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Django or Flask.
- In-depth knowledge of core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway).
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and asynchronous request handling.
- Proficiency with version control systems, specifically Git.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with other modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js.
- Experience with serverless architectures using AWS Lambda.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
Pay & Benefits
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
- Illinois: $75,000-$113,000
Benefits:
- Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
- Eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.
- Eligible to participate in the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
