Mid-Level Cybersecurity Engineer

Description of Responsibilities

  • Designs, tests and implements state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products.
  • Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design.
  • Handles a wide range of security issues including architecture, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
  • Analyzes are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research.
  • Designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
  • Responsible for analysis, evaluation, and recommendations designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the customer's security program.
  • Builds and maintains trusted relationships with customers.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis and relates existing system to future needs and trends.
  • Embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration/testing issues.

Required Degree/Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or another related field.
  • May be required to meet additional DCWF 8140/8570 certification requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of cybersecurity experience in a secure DoD environment.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments.
  • Experience with network access, firewalls, architectures and electronic data traffic.
  • Experience in providing network cybersecurity recommendations for upgrades, resolutions and implementation as needed.

Required Citizenship and Clearance

  • United States Citizenship required.
  • (Green Card not acceptable)
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
