Cyber Engineer (Mid-level)

About the role

Fuse is currently developing, integrating, and testing secure communications networks for U.S. defense agencies that improve the sharing of information among warfighters distributed throughout airborne, maritime, and ground environments.
Responsibilities
- Support planning, implementation, management, monitoring, and upgrades for security measures that protect Fuse and DoD data, systems, and networks
- Troubleshoot security and network problems
- Respond to system and/or network security breaches
- Ensure that data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls
- Participate in the change management process
- Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities
- Implement IA controls and ensure compliance with DoD RMF
- Work as a team throughout the design process, supporting sprint planning sessions, code reviews, and scrum
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information System, Engineering, Scientific, or related Technical Field from an accredited college or 6 years equivalent experience
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Cyber or IT role
- Experience with virtualized systems and administration (VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V)
- Understanding of various wireless client tools to detect and resolve issues
- Hands-on experience configuring, testing, and troubleshooting firewalls
- Experience installing and maintaining network security protocols
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Linux Systems
- Experience with DoD IA and RMF frameworks
- DoD 8570 IAT Lvl 2 certification
- Working knowledge or experience with military networking systems and/or tactical data links
- Knowledge/experience configuring and troubleshooting communications applications (email, chat, VOIP, etc.)
- In-depth experience with Linux and virtualized systems
- U.S. Citizen with Active Secret Clearance
- Must be a nimble self-starter who is excited about technology and has the ability to think outside the box and suggest powerful new ideas

- Knowledge of Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Systems (C4IR)

Pay
Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000
