About the role

Jacobs is seeking a passionate Mid-Level Cost Control Analyst to join our collaborative, high performing Project Controls team supporting construction and engineering projects from planning through execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, monitoring, and ongoing updates of project cost and progress metrics.
  • Manage core cost control activities, including budget development and revisions, tracking scope changes and trends, and monthly expenditure and forecast reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data within cost management systems and tools.
  • Analyze cost and revenue performance and recommend corrective actions to project leadership.
  • Review contractor cost submissions and pay applications for accuracy and contract compliance.
  • Track and report construction progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Collaborate daily with project controls, construction teams, and vendors to support successful execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7 years of experience in project controls with emphasis on cost management.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, field operations, and pay application processes.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present cost insights clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional project environments.
  • Willingness to travel for periodic on-site project support.
  • Proficiency with cost and scheduling tools such as Oracle, EcoSys, Unifier and Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.
  • Ideal candidate should have Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Construction Manager (CCM) certifications.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $135,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Employees have the option to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations, enabling them to deliver their best work.
