Responsibilities
- Skilled sub-professional engineering work in the field and office
- Provide inspection of specific parts of contract work, such as asphalt laydown operations, grading, or concrete inspection
- Assist other inspectors on larger projects in performing specific inspection tasks
Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in Construction Engineering and Inspection on road and/or bridge transportation construction projects
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Experience with CMRB
- The following Certifications are preferred:
- SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician
- SCDOT Earthwork and Base Course Technician
- SCDOT Concrete Technician Level 1 & 2
- Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (CEPSCI)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Passing score on a drug test
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of CMRB
- Preferred certifications: SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician, SCDOT Earthwork and Base Course Technician, SCDOT Concrete Technician Level 1 & 2, CEPSCI
