Mid Exploitation Specialist / Data Scientist

About the role

B&A is looking for a Mid Exploitation Specialist / Data Scientist to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. The successful candidate will build automation and data-integration solutions that streamline the collection, transformation, and dissemination of geospatial and intelligence data under the GEO-SPI B labor framework at NGA Washington (NCE) in Springfield, VA. This is a Mid-level (Level 3) position where the individual implements and leads task execution with minimal oversight, may lead smaller teams, and is fully capable of meeting most services without direction.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions in Python and its data science and visualization ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Plotly, Dash, Bokeh) to collect, transform, and disseminate data.
• Connect multiple databases and enterprise systems to automate data collection, transformation, and dissemination.
• Automate repetitive business and analytic tasks using scripts and workflows.
• Gather and disseminate metrics and operational data.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement automation solutions that improve workflow performance.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 9+ years of relevant experience in data science, automation, software development, data engineering, database integration, GEOINT support, or related technical disciplines (a combination of education, professional certifications, and technical training may be considered in lieu of some years of experience).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Active TS clearance.
