Position Introduction/Key Duties Cimarron is seeking a Mid-Level/Associate Mission Systems Engineer to join an exciting program located in Seal Beach, CA; with options to work from Aurora, CO or El Segundo, CA; to support development of new first-of-kind space vehicles and missions. Key Duties Support technology integration for and development of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions.Develop and present review packages to internal and external senior leadership.Work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, demanding atmosphere.Develop physics-based mission simulations to inform system trade studies and verify system performance.Apply astrodynamics and flight mechanics to mission design, novel orbit concepts, and trajectory optimization.Independently identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and implement reusable tools and automations. Desired Skills, Experience, And Education 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (Ex. PhD, Master's + 3 or more years' related work experience).Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, or comparable software languages.Proficiency developing control algorithms, models, and simulations.Familiarity with space environments, mission design, and astrodynamics.Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers.Experience in spacecraft, launch vehicles, or highly autonomous unmanned systems.
