Mid Analyst
About the role
The Mid-Level Program Analyst will play a crucial role in the Maritime Engineering Operation (MEO) team, supporting the development and maintenance of Navy specifications and standards. This position involves researching and gathering data, creating historical overviews, and assisting in the development of POM briefs.
Responsibilities
- Research and gather data to create an historical overview of Navy specifications and standards efforts.
- Assist in the development of POM briefs.
- Aid in the assessment, recruiting, and development of a world-class ship design workforce.
- Support responses to Senior NAVSEA Officials and ASN/RDA inquiries.
- Aid in the creation of public/Congressional affairs guidance with FAQ for Navy-led ship design efforts.
- Coordinate and support workforce development conferences and gather feedback for distribution.
- Aid in the creation of public/Congression affairs guidance.
- Update, consolidate, and promulgate U.S. Navy shipbuilding specifications and standards.
- Retrieve, organize, store, and provide technical evaluation of design team efforts.
- Design and manage knowledge repositories, such as online portals or databases, where employees can access critical information, best practices, and documentation.
- Analyze information needs and identify areas where knowledge is lacking, then develop initiatives to fill those gaps.
- Aid in the development of Technical and Programmatic Monthly Reports.
- Bring the Navy into the next generation of document management by using digital engineering tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, and AI.
- Ensure consistent terminology is used across NAVSEA and other shipboard systems technical documentation.
- Aid in managing changes to NAVSEA and other governing shipboard and ship systems technical documentation, ensuring that allowances made are appropriately limited and enforceable in later stages of design and construction.
Qualifications
- Active or current DoD Secret security clearance.
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree or a related discipline, or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Greater than three years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting engineering and technical teams.
- Sound oral and written communications skillset.
- Ability to clearly articulate information and effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work efficiently with limited or no supervision.
- Sound skillset using the Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to travel 10% of the time.
