This is a remote, 3-month contract position with strong potential for extension, open to candidates who must reside in North Carolina. The role operates on a first-shift Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft 365 user accounts, licenses, security configurations, and services
  • Provide technical support for corporate workstations, servers, and office personnel
  • Assist engineers with server setup, maintenance, monitoring, and repairs
  • Log, troubleshoot, and resolve technical inquiries in a timely manner
  • Support MS Windows environments, including NTFS permissions and shared resources
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for IT processes and systems
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance service quality
  • Demonstrate strong, creative problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and assist users courteously and promptly
  • Communicate activity updates and significant issues to management
  • Uphold the client's professional reputation through excellent customer service and technical support
  • Perform additional duties consistent with the responsibilities listed above

Requirements

  • Functional knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, and IP technologies
  • Working knowledge of system and network security best practices
  • Proficiency with PC hardware, software, and the ability to learn specialized applications quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues clearly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong teamwork skills
  • Strong time-management, organizational abilities, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to keep work areas clean, secure, and well maintained

Qualifications

  • Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent practical work experience
  • Relevant certifications may be required depending on client/project needs
