About the role

Join Vertiv, a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, where you'll help design the next generation of resilient, intelligent microgrid solutions powering the world's most essential technologies. As a Microgrids Application Solution Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, configuring, and optimizing innovative microgrid solutions that integrate Vertiv's industry-leading power and cooling technologies. You'll partner with customers, sales teams, and engineering experts to deliver high-performance solutions for data centers, industrial facilities, and mission-critical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and optimize microgrid solutions that integrate Vertiv's power and cooling technologies
  • Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and engineering experts to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Vertiv's products into customer environments
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of technical documentation and training materials
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in microgrids, energy storage, and related technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, controls engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with microgrid design, energy storage systems, and renewable energy technologies is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as needed

Qualifications

  • Passionate about the future of energy, power systems, and digital infrastructure
  • Experience with Vertiv products and technologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in microgrid design and energy management

Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical engineering software tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
