Microelectronics Design and Verification Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer specializing in microelectronics and hardware security to join our team. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing resilient architectures, advanced verification approaches, and tools for analyzing and securing complex embedded and IC-based systems. You will also lead independent or small technical teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive hardware analysis
• Conduct validation on FPGAs and ASICs
• Support R&D investigations into the trustworthiness and performance of emerging microelectronic technologies
• Share your expertise through leadership, technical mentoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Identify new opportunities to develop solutions to help customers meet their toughest needs

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience working within FPGA and ASIC design
• Experience in integrated circuit design, including asynchronous logic, mixed-signal systems, FPGA/ASIC architectures, or SoC development
• Experience in hardware security, trust assessment, embedded system assurance, or IC reverse engineering
• Experience with EDA tools supporting IC design, verification, testing, or physical design automation
• Experience conducting technical research, documenting results, and presenting findings to customers and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Experience with hardware Trojan detection, hardware assurance, or side-channel analysis
• Experience in VLSI automation, asynchronous design techniques, or specialized secure logic methodologies
• Experience performing IP block or SoC level verification and Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
• Experience supporting DoD research programs or academic-industry collaborations

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen's benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
