Microbiology Lab Technician

We are seeking a microbiological laboratory technician to join our team-oriented environment of food professionals. This individual will be responsible for various laboratory duties, including sample processing, media preparation, collection, data entry, and more. Responsibilities: Process incoming samplesAccurately record detailed dataPerform Quality Assurance (QA) checks of the labUse of lab equipment (e.g. scales, autoclaves)Clean glassware, laboratory areas, and utensilsMedia preparationPerform pipetting and serial dilutionsRetrieve samples from various locations, as neededAll other duties assigned by management Requirements: Laboratory skills, including aseptic technique a plus, but not requiredAbility to multi-task & adapt to a changing fast-paced environment requiredComputer literacy and experience with Microsoft OfficeExcellent verbal and written skillsClean DMV recordFlexible schedule with availability to work weekends, evenings, and overtimeStrong math skillsAbility to lift 35 lbs.Self-motivated, with excellent work ethicBilingual (Spanish) a plusScience background a plusProfessional skills a plus Starting Hourly rate at $21-$22/hr.
