Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples for analysis by receiving, recording, weighing, and mixing
  • Document and maintain routine quality control and statistical process control data
  • Conduct routine quality control work on microbiological growth media and reagents
  • Perform equipment verification, calibration, and general lab work (such as dishes, lab cleaning/sanitation, housekeeping)
  • Follow Good Lab Practices (GLPs) and adhere to all safety policies

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience in a Quality Assurance role
  • Experience in the food industry a plus
  • Basic knowledge of the biological sciences and strong analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong time-management and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and demonstrate a strong attention to detail
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills, be a team player, be motivated, and have a willingness to learn new skills and methods
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment
  • High comfort level with working independently and proficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time and the physical dexterity to work with large sample volumes

Schedule

Availability to work 6 days/week and 40-50 hrs/week.
